Jeff Innocent is ‘the guv’nor’” - The Mirror . Jeff Innocent is an extremely popular and experienced stand - up comedian, actor, writer and cultural commentator. Before honing his craft hailing from the East End, Jeff had a variety of jobs including an Undertaker, Fruit & Veg stall holder, Chimney Sweep, Fishmonger at Billingsgate Market, and a footballer for West Ham Utd. He was also a driver for notorious gangsters The Kray Twins. Jeff finally escaped the East End Bow Street Runners after being rescued from prison by one of his former victims! Now as a stand - up comedian he has reached near legendary status among his peers and audience alike by staying at the top of his game for over 15 years. Jeff was voted the best live comic in 2016 and was voted Runner Up in the Facebook Poll for Best Live Club Comedian 2013 and 2014. Jeff ‘s status is one of the country’s leading acts, and is now very much part of the comedy gentry. Jeff has unique appeal due to his contrast between his east end ‘Geezer’ appearance and demeanour along with his educated philosophical delivery. Innocent is also a much sought-after corporate act. He also appears regularly on TV and radio as a comedian, actor and cultural commentator. He has also written for various publications and lectures on Stand- up comedy at The London Comedy School. On TV he has appeared in Call the Midwife BBC, Later with Jools Holland BBC, The Stand – Up Show BBC, Time & Gentleman Please. On the big screen he has appeared alongside Vinnie Jones in Mean Machine playing a prisoner.
